My name is Lee Pearce, and I was a photojournalist for 50 years, working around the world.
Twelve years ago, I lost 75% of my sight and began writing books that drew on all periods of my long life, with facts, photographs, fiction, and fantasies.
The first of these books, 'Outside Looking In’, traces my life from a young photographer searching for meaning, through my work in the era of sex and drugs and rock n ' roll, with 120 photographs taken at that time. The second, 'Karma in Nirvana', is an afterlife satire on myself and humanity. My latest book, 'The End of the Road', is an eco-thriller filled with action and hope. All are available on Amazon.
I have written and photographed hundreds of magazine articles, and to save my sanity at the end of my career, I concentrated on nature and wildlife stories. If questioned about my religious beliefs, I would describe myself as an evolutionist. The fantastic ability of nature to evolve into such a miraculous series of species that can survive in every niche of the environment is enough mystery, fascination, and wonder for me. I have photographed and produced quite a few books over the years. Here are. three of them.
